THE TANDEM BETWEEN THE RICHEST AND THE POOREST
07/01/2009  08:30 PM EDT
NEW YORK, N.Y., July 1  (PinoyGlobal) - When Igor Sikorsky, a Russian
engineer, invented the helicopter he got the idea from nature. He
observed a tree seed with wings dropped to the ground turning around
like a helicopter.  His first dilemma was when he created the first helicopter
that had only one propeller.  It went up and down but it had no direction.
So he came up with the brilliant idea of putting a small propeller at the tail
to control the direction of the bigger propeller.  And that’s how the
helicopter was born.

SACRAMENTO, CALIF., July 6  (PinoyGlobal) - Beset by discontent within its
ranks after suffering one of its worst -- if not the worst -- defeats in its
history, the Grand Old Party of Abraham Lincoln was hit with a triple
whammy in a recent bizarre turn of events. First, it was Sen. John Ensign of
Nevada. Then, it was Gov. Mark Sanford of South Carolina. And finally, it
was Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska. All three are on the top of a short list of
Republican presidential wannabes for the 2012 elections.

POLITICAL DECLINE OF GMA IS PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE
07/06/2009  08:50 PM EDT
NEW YORK, NY July 7 (PinoyGlobal) - Trivia: Who says I cannot write about
anything besides politics, has a blistered mind! I can even delve on banter.
For example, when I was a teenager I did not use clichés when I wooed. I
was aggressive in that I would hold the hand of my date and softly
whisper to her “I wish I could be your teardrops for what more can anyone
wish for than to be conceived in your heart, born in your tears, live on your
cheeks and die on your
lips?”

GLORIA'S SWAN SONG
                                07/28/2009  05:50 AM PDT
SACRAMENTO, CALIF., July 28  (PinoyGlobal) - Finally, the much awaited
ninth -- and final -- State of the Nation Address (SONA) by President Gloria
Macapagal Arroyo came to pass. With all the hoopla in the press about
what she was going to say, one thing was very apparent, it’s all about self-
glorification. It was her farewell address -- her “swan song.”

PGMA CAN ALSO FEEL PAIN JUST LIKE ALL OF US-NOGRALES
MANILA, PHILIPPINES July 27 (PinoyGlobal) -By all standards, the State of
the Nation Address (SONA) before the joint session of Congress last
Monday was a huge success but as expected, anti-Arroyo forces particularly
those who felt being alluded to by the President when she spoke about her
frustration on those who continue to malign her administration “have
twisted the meaning of her pronouncements.”

MANDATE
                        07/28/2009  08:20 PM EDT
NEW YORK, NY July 28 (PinoyGlobal) -  What a paradox: in the midst of a
world economic crisis vividly reflected in the gnawing hunger of our people,
the State of the Nation Address (SONA) of Pres. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo
the othe r day at the Batasan, was a sharp contrast to the nation’s
searing poverty. The SONA was unique in that it exhibited hidden wealth
that only heightened the pain and misery of the less privileged.
